James Cook Hospital
The South Tees Hospitals NHS Trust committed to a significant programme of artists' commissions at an early stage within Middlesbrough's new PFI hospital. Working with architects HLM a series of diverse commissions and an ongoing live arts programme were delivered, highlighting the therapeutic values of a well designed environment.
Artists Lee and Jill Brewster created a unique play table for the Paediatric Out Patients Unit as part of the hospital's Healing Arts Project.
