Sculpture in the Park: Woman for Heidleberg

Sculpture in the Park: Woman for Heidleberg

From May to October 2004 an exciting collection of contemporary British sculpture is on show in the grounds of County Hall and the DLI Museum and Durham Art Gallery – the second year of an art and landscape project delivered by Durham County Council.

Selected by guest curator Ann Elliot, the exhibition focuses on the theme of humans, animals and allegory. Michael Sandle’s monumental bronze ‘Woman for Heidleberg’ was originally commissioned for a hospital site.
