From May to October 2004 an exciting collection of contemporary British sculpture is on show in the grounds of County Hall and the DLI Museum and Durham Art Gallery – the second year of an art and landscape project delivered by Durham County Council.
Selected by guest curator Ann Elliot, the exhibition focuses on the theme of humans, animals and allegory. Sophie Ryder’s ‘Pink Lady Hare Dancing with Big Brown Dog’ combines the animal symbolism of intuition, magic, fidelity and affection.
