MIMA - Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art - is a landmark building designed by Erick van Egeraat Associated Architects. Situated in the heart of Middlesbrough, the gallery looks out across Centre Square, a public space designed by EEA Architects. MIMA opened to the public on 27 January 2007. The buildimg houses permanent commissioned works by internationally renowned artists Gijs Bakker, Michael Rowe, Andrew Miller, Richard Wright and Graham Gussin.
