Nexus: Nocturne
The concept for this proposal was developed from the idea of the natural rhythms of tidal movements and the human/mechanical movement across the bridge. By utilising digital control technologies, 'picture messages' from the communities of Newcastle and Gateshead a twenty-year long light and colour score has been created. This score is illuminated as a series of colours on the QE II Metro Bridge, back and forth across the Tyne.
