Mowbray Park: Rustic Swan House
Within the Heritage Lottery funded restoration of Mowbray Park, Sunderland's Public Art Programme was able to advocate a role for contemporary artists and designers to create new features for the Victorian park in Sunderland City Centre.
In addition to the artworks in the park, major new commissions by William Pye, Fusion Glass and Wendy Ramshaw OBE, were delivered through the rebuilding of Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens which overlook Mowbray Park.
